Life as a Geek: Season 26

I remember being the 1st. one in line the night of the premiere here in Puerto Montt; I was there… happy, excited, being as “fanboyish” as I could be (T-shirt, lightsaber on my belt, key-chain hanging on my pocket, etc)

And when the lights turned off and the 20th Century Fox Fanfarre started, I knew I was in for the last ride of Star Wars cinema history.

Needless to say, I screamed… I laugh, I even cried. 

I wish I could feel the same things once again.

RIP Ralph McQuarrie

Ralph McQuarrie, concept designer for the original Star Wars Trilogy has passed away today at his home at the age of 82.

Sad news. He shaped our childhood, that’s for certain.
